E-commerce ops

Stock numbers that lie by lunchtime:
never again

An item sells out at 10am and the ad keeps running until someone notices the wasted spend. Or worse, a customer orders something that is not there. We build an agent that watches stock across every source of truth and pushes the correction everywhere it needs to land, before the gap turns into a refund.

Where the numbers and the ads disagree

Stock and the ads pointing at that stock live in different systems. Keeping them in sync by hand is a losing race. A product sells through on the storefront. But the ad platform’s catalogue still shows it as available. That happens because the feed only refreshes once a day, or because someone forgot to toggle it off in one of three different places. On an unmanaged feed, industry benchmarks commonly put the share of listings with at least one stale attribute at 10 to 20 percent. Each one is either wasted ad spend on a product nobody can buy, or a complaint when an order cannot be fulfilled.

The opposite failure happens just as often: a restock lands and nobody re-enables the ad set. The warehouse sits on inventory while the campaign that used to sell it stays paused. Past a few hundred SKUs on more than one ad platform, most teams end up running sync off a spreadsheet or a weekly manual export. That means the gap between reality and the feed runs hours wide on a good day, days wide on a bad one.

What the agent keeps in sync

Reads stock from the real source of truth - your ERP, warehouse system or store inventory - instead of trusting whatever the feed last said.

Pushes corrections to every feed that needs them: Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog, TikTok Shop and marketplace listings, updated within minutes instead of the next scheduled export.

Pulls out-of-stock items from active ad sets, and brings them back the moment stock is confirmed, so budget stops chasing something that cannot ship.

Watches feed health for disapprovals - mismatched prices, missing attributes or policy rejections - before they quietly cut a listing’s reach.

Checks price and availability consistency across the store and every feed, catching the case where a promo price updated in one place and not the other.

Logs every change with its source, so a sudden price or stock jump traces straight back to the system and the event that caused it.

What stays with humans

The agent corrects feed data. It does not set pricing strategy or decide what gets advertised. Any price change outside the normal sync range goes to a person. So does a new product launch, or a call to pause a whole campaign rather than one out-of-stock item. Say the stock source itself looks wrong - a sudden jump to zero across an entire category. The agent flags it for a human to confirm before it pulls dozens of listings at once.

Guards

A dry-run period comes first. The agent reports the changes it would make without pushing them, so you can confirm the mapping between your stock system and each feed before it runs unattended. After that, every push is logged with its before and after value and its source. Rate limits cap how many changes a single listing can take in a short window, which stops a feedback loop from a flaky data source. A kill switch pulls the agent off a platform or a feed instantly if something looks off.

Price and timeline

Package Price Best for
Single automation from $900 One store, one stock source, syncing to one or two ad platforms or feeds
Department package from $2,500 Stock sync plus catalogue sync, pricing rules and related e-commerce ops automations

4 to 9 days covers mapping your stock source, connecting the ad platforms and running the dry-run period before the sync goes live unattended.

Works best alongside catalogue sync, pricing rules and margin guards and multi-marketplace repricing, since all four read from the same stock and pricing source. Part of automation of everything digital and built the way we build AI agents for our own products. We solved this exact problem for ourselves. Our own digital goods marketplace prices a large multi-currency catalogue from one engine, built precisely to avoid this kind of drift.

FAQ

How much does a stock and feed sync agent cost?

A single feed, one store and one or two ad platforms, starts from $900. A department package covering feeds, catalogue sync and pricing rules together starts from $2,500, priced once we know how many SKUs and platforms are involved.

How long does it take to go live?

4 to 9 days. We map your actual stock source, ERP, WMS or store backend, connect the ad platforms, and run a short dry-run. During that dry-run the agent flags the changes it would push, before it gets to push them unattended.

Which tools does it connect to?

On the store side: Shopify, WooCommerce and most store backends. On the ad side: Google Merchant Center, Meta Catalog, TikTok Shop and marketplace feed APIs. Your ERP or warehouse system stays the source of truth for actual stock.

What if the agent pushes a wrong number?

Every push is logged with the before and after value and where it came from, so a wrong number traces back to its cause in one lookup. Rate limits cap how often a single listing can change in a short window, and a kill switch stops all pushes to a platform instantly.

Is our stock and pricing data safe?

The agent reads your systems through the same API credentials you already use, scoped to read stock and write feed updates only. We do not store your catalogue outside the sync pipeline, and your keys stay yours and can be revoked at any time.
