One platform,
sold under every client's own name

An agency with a tool clients actually like keeps asking the same question. Can it sell that tool under its own name. Instead of sending clients to someone else's login page. A white-label layer makes that possible. A custom domain and branding per client. Proper data isolation between them. And a reseller admin view the agency controls.

When reselling under your own brand pays off

A white-label SaaS platform fits an agency or reseller with a product clients use and like. One looking to turn it into its own revenue line, under its own brand, rather than referring clients to someone else’s tool. It fits a team past the stage of serving one or two clients manually and into the stage where a repeatable, brandable product makes sense. It does not fit a single internal tool with no plan to resell it. The white-label layer is overhead that only pays off once there is more than one paying client wearing the agency’s own name.

What keeps clients from seeing each other

Custom domain support so each client’s experience lives at their own URL rather than a shared subdomain that gives away the underlying platform. Branding that actually themes, logo, color scheme, copy, not a cosmetic logo swap over an otherwise identical interface. Proper tenant isolation so one client’s data is never visible, even by accident, to another. A reseller admin layer that lets the agency’s own team manage every client account, billing, and branding configuration without needing an engineer for routine changes.

How we avoid the per-client fork trap

We build the white-label layer on top of a properly multi-tenant core. Retrofitting white-labeling onto a single-tenant product means forking the codebase per client. That is a maintenance trap that gets worse with every client added. Custom domains and theming are built to be self-service, where possible. Onboarding a new client becomes a configuration task for the agency’s team, not a deployment ticket for us. The reseller billing layer is designed around how the agency actually wants to price clients, separate from the underlying platform’s own cost structure.

Where white-label platforms quietly break

The recurring failure mode in white-label platforms is theming that looks complete in a demo with two test clients. It breaks the moment a real client’s brand colors or logo proportions do not fit the assumptions baked into the original design. We test theming against genuinely different brand profiles, not just palette swaps, before calling the white-label layer done.

Custom domain configuration is the second risk area. DNS and SSL issues are exactly the kind of problem that looks simple, until a client’s own domain provider has an unusual setup. We document the domain setup process clearly enough that onboarding a client does not require an engineer standing by for every new signup.

The third trap is reseller billing logic drifting out of sync with the underlying platform’s own costs, as the agency adds clients. Margin quietly erodes because nobody is tracking the two numbers against each other. The reseller admin dashboard is built specifically to surface that comparison, so the agency can catch a pricing mismatch before it becomes a real problem.

Timeline and price

Option Price What it covers
MVP from $10,000 Shared branding across clients, one domain, basic reseller admin
Production from $16,000 Custom domains and theming per client, full reseller billing control, isolated client data
Full control (handover-ready) from $17,000 Everything in Production plus a self-service onboarding flow for new clients, architecture documentation, and 90 days of support

Running cost after launch depends on hosting and, where relevant, model usage, typically $20 to $150 a month for a project at this scale.

What you own at the end

You, the agency, own the full platform. The codebase, the client data, and every domain and billing configuration, all deployed under your own infrastructure. Each client’s data stays isolated and exportable, and the agency’s support team gets documentation written for people running client accounts, not just for engineers. This is the same handover standard on every product we build. No proprietary platform only we can operate. No API key or hosting account left in our name after launch. And a written document covering the architecture and the decisions behind it. A future engineer, yours or ours on a continuing basis, should be able to extend the system. No guessing why it was built the way it was.

FAQ

How much does a white-label SaaS platform cost?

From $10,000 for custom domains, themeable branding and a reseller admin layer on top of a product's core, 8 to 14 weeks. A platform with per-client custom pricing and deep theming runs $15,000 to $22,000.

Do clients know it is white-labeled?

That is your call. The platform supports fully custom domains and branding. A client's experience can look entirely like your own product, with no visible connection to an underlying platform, unless you choose to disclose it.

Can each client have different pricing?

Yes. The reseller layer lets the agency set its own pricing per client, separate from whatever the agency itself pays for the underlying platform. Margin is the agency's to manage.

What is the stack?

FastAPI and PostgreSQL with multi-tenant isolation at the core, Next.js for the client-facing and reseller admin interfaces, with custom domain routing handled at the infrastructure layer.

Who owns the white-label platform?

You, the agency. The codebase, the client data, and every domain configuration live under your own infrastructure, so the platform is not something only we can operate or extend.
